Services for Honorary Club member Fritz Puffpaff will be held Saturday 11:00 am. January 31st at Christ Episcopal Church. Fritz was a member of the Army Air Corps in World War II. He moved us all at our July 20th meeting when he spoke of his trip to Washington DC as a member of the Mid-Michigan Honor Flight Mission. A program that has been honoring Michigan veterans of World War II by flying them to Washington to see the memorial honoring their service.

Fitz was a very active member of the Club and literally wrote the book on the procedure for the procedure for the operation of the Club’s Kielbasa Booth. It was a  project he directed with military precision for many years.

He was an excellent softball pitcher and reportedly made the world’s greatest dill pickles. He was a supporter of all things Michigan. (As in U of M) He passed away January 14th at the Charlevoix Area Hospital
