
May 15th - Pastor Appreciation Luncheon. Our club will honor our local ministers, priests and pastors with a lunch and thank you for all they do.
May 22nd - Kiwanis Community Appreciation Award. The Human Growth and Spiritual Aims committee will be honoring an individual in our community who reflects the ideals of Kiwanis who gives back to the community. Committee members Ed Buday and Gayle Gennett will present and speak.
May 29th - Dr. Charles Huebner will be speaking about the benefits of a Mediterranean diet and improving patient outcomes. He will be recapping his talk given to an enthusiastic and interested audience at the Charlevoix Public Library.

Jill Eakes from the Charlevoix Christian Reform Church spoke about their new program called "The Breakfast Club" which provides free breakfast twice a week to those in need. She said the first week no one showed up, but they now have about twenty people attending their breakfast held on Tuesday and Friday mornings at the Church.

Russ and Shawn McCraney a married couple who created "Georgia House" providing care giving services in their home as well as "Heavenly Helpers" providing services to the home bound.
Sherri Hoffman with Hospice of Northwest Michigan spoke to Kiwanis about the history of the Hospice program and some of the misconceptions people have about Hospice
Jim Raber friend-of-the-Court spoke about his rather thankless job. Jim has a special quality to handle a job where no one leaves completely satisfied or happy.
Ginger Stevens addressed the Club about her ministry Third Day Fellowship and Outreach. She assistsstruggling families and individuals to get on theirfeet.
Gary Stutzman, Director of Development and Bands at Northwestern Academy presented the Club with an update on what's been happening at Michigan's second charter school. He also had interesting comments on the direction of education in general.
Enthusiastic members of the Charlevoix High School Robotics Club, Cora Taylor, Anna Moon, John Boss and Chris Young. This was the first year for the club. The fourteen member club was named "Rookies of the Year" in their first competition.
Erin Bemis President of the award winning Charlevoix Chamber of Commerce addressed the Club about the Chamber's many activities. The Charlevoix Chamber was named Michigan Chamber of the year for the second year in a row.
